※ 引述《oakleysee (Adam)》之銘言: : http://www.pokerhand.org/?2204498 : no read on opponents. The button 3 bet seems like stealing. : <maybe not cuz its 7.5BB raise> : This JJ I plan not to play post flop so I decide to re-raise as a test. : My question is: should I just fold here? or make it $23 to go? : $29 seems too large for me to throw it away. : Appreciate any comments...;) Personally, I think the biggest mistake you made was that you played a big pot with no read on your opponent. But I also don't understand your thought process when you A) decided not to play the hand post flop JJ is a big hand in a 6-handed game, but it's still not an automatic all in. When I have JJ my plan is not to get all in, but to make my opponents pay to draw. Against good players, I don't mind just flat calling a bet and a raise and taking a flop with them...especially when you don't know where you are in the hand. Three-betting pre-flop is by no means a terrible play, but I feel that keeping the pot smaller with a hand like JJ will usually get you more value when you are ahead, while giving you a chance to get away (or suck out :P) if you are behind. This is the "small ball" approach that players such as Daniel Negreanu like to employ. B) re-raised for information but didn't use it As I've stated before, three-betting isn't a bad play here, and I like the amount that you chose to raise. But when the action came back to you, you were clearly beat. Low limit players online will almost never "four-bet" bluff you, especially pre-flop. The best case scenario would be that you are up against AK in a coin flip, but most of the times here you'd find yourself a 4.5-to-1 underdog against AA, KK (and sometimes QQ). The fact that you already have $29 in the pot shouldn't matter here. Once you make the raise the chips belong to the pot and should be considered "sunk cost". I'm new to bbs and this discussion board, but I've played Hold'em for five years and would enjoy meeting other poker enthusiasts in Taiwan :) By the way, I can type in Chinese fine (just not very fast). -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 125.232.142.24
