Velraine 一位17歲的少女 The blood of elite dragon slayers flows in her veins--a heritage she despises. 她所鄙視的遺產:精銳屠龍手的血脈在她體內流動 She is the daughter of Maralme, the greatest dragon slayer who's ever lived. Her mother is strong, stern...and her father's greatest foe. 她是最強屠龍手:Maralme的女兒她的母親堅強嚴厲也是她父親最強大的敵手 Her father Reinar is dead. He met his end while out hunting with Maralme one day, never to return. 她的父親已經死了她在某天與Maralme一起去狩獵時死去沒有再回來過 Reinar stepped between a fearsome drake and his wife in an effort to protect her. And Maralme cut him down. "She's forgotten," Velraine muttered to herself. 今天是她十六歲生日 "她忘了" Velraine喃喃自語 The wind stirred and grew violent, bowing trees and sweeping the clouds from the sky. It was a moonless night--the night of a rare lunar eclipse. 風勢越來越強樹枝被吹歪天空的雲也被吹開這是一個沒有月亮的夜晚--今夜是罕見的月食之夜 Countless stars glimmered in the vast darkness overhead. "Father..." She could picture his face only dimly now. Her mother had killed him. 無數的星星在頭頂上的夜空閃爍著 "父親..." 她只能模糊的想像父親的臉她的母親殺了他 A familiar anger welled up. She struggled to suppress it. But tonight was different. Velraine最終沒能逃過她的命運 Moreover, that fate had been thrust upon her in an utterly inconceivable way. 事實上她的命運被一種不可思議的方式推動著 She was born half-human, half-dragon, the power of dracogenesis smoldering within her from the start 她以半人半龍的型態出生龍化的力量從一開始就在醞釀 Eyeing her power and potential, the clan decided to recruit her as a dragon slayer 看到她的力量和潛力她的族人決定招募她成為屠龍者 Velraine would thus enter the world that had claimed her father's life, despite running from it for so long. 儘管已經逃避那麼久了 Velraine還是進入了那奪去他父親生命的世界註:感謝板友jo8246hn幫忙翻譯 Maralme and Reinar's hopes for her were dashed in the name of the clan's prosperity and greater glory--but it was an unprecedented honor for someone who had not yet come of age. Maralme和Reinar的希望在為了一族的成就和繁榮下破滅了但這對於一位未成年的族人來說是前所未有的榮耀 Maralme would use the time she had left to play the mother she had never been. Maralm會用她剩餘的時間來扮演母親的角色這是她從沒做到的事情 Taking Velraine's hand in hers, she kissed it countless times.
