: together, add up their ratings, sprinkle a little on top since they’ve got a
: small advantage due to better communication, and then do the same as I did
: with 5 solo queuers. I try to match teams with duo queuers on them with other
: teams that also have duo queuers. If the matchup is too hard to predict, like
: when Xpecial duo queued with that one noob, I halve the rating gains and
: losses for that game.

: Matchmaker: Well you see, and what everyone else wants to point out, is that
: in a 1v1 matchup, there are only two factors: your play and your opponent’s
: play. Thus, if you win, it was because your play was better than your opponent
: ’s. In a team game, there are 10 factors. Occasionally you will lose despite
: playing better than everyone on the other team, and occasionally you will win
: despite playing worse than everyone on the other team.

: noise in the system. No individual game is an accurate indicator of a player’
: s skill, but you can follow the patterns of a player’s games to decipher
: their skill.

: their actual skill level win more often than they lose. Players who are rated
: above their actual skill level lose more often than they win. And of course,
: players who I’ve accurately rated (Matchmaker flashes a proud smile) win
: about as frequently as they lose. Eventually everyone plays in a bracket that
: accurately measure’s their skill. It just takes a little longer than it
: would in 1v1 scenarios.

MM: 簡單來說,如果你的確比你現在的ELO強,勝率應該比較高,反之亦然。理所當然地

: Matchmaker: Pardon me? I don’t hate you.
: Joe Scrub: LIAR! You are always matching me up with the dumbest, most idiotic
: teammates. You hate me! You are torturing me!

: only way to get out of Elo Hell. I went up to top lane to gank the enemy
: Corki, and when I tower dove at level 3, the stupid Cho’gath on my team didn
