This allowed you to easily hack your PS3 without having to create a backup, flash a kernel, and all that other tedious nonsense. Just boot to recovery mode and select the newly added PSFreedom option. Coming from Nieylana is a new PSFreedom-enabled ClockworkMod aimed at HTC Hero phones. It packs the same 4 payloads: Homebrew only, Homebrew only with peek/poke, Blu-ray emulation and again Blu-ray emulation with peek/poke. The only difference between this and the other recovery images: you'll lose ADB and mass-storage support (while in recovery mode). I'm assuming you know how to flash a custom recovery image to your phone.
